Right to Information Coalition Coordinator and Project Management Adviser

January 2011 - January 2012


Initiated a state-wide RTI Coalition in Jharkhand, India and support the civil society organizations to integrate the usage of RTI in their programs.

In the meanwhile, supported the initial strengthening process of the coalition—firstly by establishing sustainable operative mechanisms for the platform, and secondly by coordinating the set-up of community-based “RTI clinics” to enhance public awareness and access to RTI and entitlements.


Skills and competencies required include:

  1. Networking: establish and sustain relations with various stakeholders of the Coalition.

  2. Project management: introduce and employ program cycle management tools in planning and monitoring activities at the Coalition and community levels.

  3. Communication: come out communication strategies to different audiences to secure support for ideas or initiatives.

  4. Team Building: develop a team with clear division of labor to work on Coalition initiatives

  5. Advocacy: advocate ideas at different levels through skillful data collection and presentation
