Citizen Report Card

A bottom-up advocacy tool that stimulates dialogue between the civil society and government based on public opinions toward the quality of public services. In February 2011, I facilitated a survey on education-for-all and Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act schemes in selected districts across Jharkhand state. I then organized a dissemination workshop in the state capital, Ranchi, where recommendations to improve services were discussed by civil society organizations and government officers. Jharkhand Right to Information Coalition

The formation of the statewide alliance was brought into action through institution development efforts-including establishing the organization structure and operational mechanism- and through capacity building workshops on M&E, documentation, communication and advocacy skills.

Right to Information Clinic

In order to galvanize awareness and increase access to entitlements under governmental schemes, I helped to establish RTI clinics, cascading training programs through coalition members to 18 Panchayats, 180 self-help groups and 264 youth volunteers across five districts in Jharkhand state.
